December 24th, 2005 We love Us.

sanrio puri again

Just in case you were unclear.

I adore the sanrio machine, even though it’s super lightening skills make me look like I’ve got red hair.

Ahoy: extending the nautical theme to all aspects of life.
It’s good to match: VB was spoken to by DRUNKS on the way to puri, and the DRUNK complimented her on her outfit and showed her his undies(!!) and how they matched his shirt. EWW!! VB recreated this scene!
We love us: We were drinking passionfruit icey drink from a bubble tea place(to properly get into our role as wannabe asian teenagers), and we went a bit silly, and were talking about how much better puri is than going out drinking and we were talking about how we get the photos as souveniers and VB said “To show how good we are” and we were laughing quite loudly and it just degenerated into “WE LOVE US”, so we notes it.
Rock: I just wanted to show off my screamfeeder tshirt, really. But then I drew stamps over it. Doh.

I brought up all of the biscuits and lollies in Engadine(or so it seemed), whipped up a batch of royal icing, cleared the kitchen table and got to work. With thanks from Blair and Allegra, for their parcels of americandy(TM), the three of us declared that it was the most festive that any of us had been since puberty.
Some of the best include: The Russian factory(armaments), The A Frame, Log Cabin, Renovators Dream, boat and the school canteen.
Don’t you want to live in lollitown?

December 21st, 2005 Now for something a little nicer…

A month or so ago, Vanessa Berry threw an airlined themed housewarming party, to celebrate her move to under the flight path, and it was quite possibly the best party ever. Both Vanessa(as seen here with the hors dourves pig) and her sister Fiona were dressed as air hostesses(I didn’t get a good snap of Fiona! :( ), and everything was airline themed. We made signs to hang up around the house, advising of directions to the amenities, smoking lounge and emergency exits, and there were dinner rolls, miniature apple poppers and little packets of peanuts, complete with potato stamped airplanes.
Tray race tray
Party activities, to avoid boring drunkeness, involved a tray race(thanks to Janet, my most travelled friend); our team was the coolest team, with myself, Simon Yates, Vanessa and Fiona Berry, and Ben as our coach(here is a snap of me, running like the dork I am, we lost in speed, but in our hearts, we know that we won in the style stakes) pass the parcel(complete with mini bottles of wine- I swapped mine for an apple popper), Paper airplane races and a “place the weapon of mass destruction on the USA”, a post modern twist on pin the tail on the donkey.
Although the party has been evaluated by certain bloggers as “absolutely appauling”, I’d like to go on record as saying it was BEST PARTY EVER.

Notable snaps:
VB as the saddened air hostess, with her co-hostess Rachel in the background and Aleksi as a businessman returning from hawaii(I think).
The tray race in action.
Indoor paper airplane race.

December 20th, 2005 Oh, for god’s sake.

Some shithead has hacked and tried to delete my livejournal account. If you’re who I think you are, I’d really appreciate it if you could grow the fuck up and move the fuck on and stay the fuck out of my life as I have yours. You already know that you’re a peice of shit, now please stop inflicting yourself on others.
You might like to try enlisting the help of a therapist.
Otherwise, thanks for providing valuable plot twists in the story of my life.
Move along..

December 6th, 2005 Purikura addiction

drunks puri

Originally uploaded by spycore.

Oh dear god, Purikura is the best thing ever. Seriously. I imagine it is like taking drugs. It is also addictive. Being Australia, there should be signs on the puri machine that say “Taking puri is habit forming”. I became obsessed after reading Shannon’s livejournal(her name is Shanzig, for the interested). She is the queen of purikura and one day I want to puri like her.
Vanessa Berry and I bravely made the trek to the fabled puriworld sydney, above Capitol Square, and were convinced we had died and gone to puri heaven. We had to ask a man to help us for our first go, and he was like our personal puri coach, and helped us work the computer and even changed the curtains and suggested poses! We are such invalids that we needed a small bite to eat and a sit down in between rounds.
You can see the rest of my puris(including some with Ms Polly, aka Jamie) on flickr.
I have taken 5 sets in the past week, and am forcing myself to have a week off! Ha!
This particular puri references a drunken car drive home, wherein Tim(sober and driving) brought himself a golden rough, and gave it to Vanessa(DRUNK!) to hold, who promptly lost it and we teased her that she had eaten it without noticing, given her track record of consuming sugary products without being aware. She then told me to shut up(twice!), which was the most obscene thing VB has ever said and then apologised many time for “being rude to Helen”. It was the sweetest and funniest conversation ever, and is so going into the movie of my life. Or hers. Or Tim’s.
Oh god. All my friends have URLs. Even the ones I’ve known from pre-internet days.

December 2nd, 2005 Newsflash…

Miss Helen likes the city. After years of suburban superiority, I actually like it. I love the hidden pockets of goodness(for example, capitol city puriland, oh goodness). And how freaking convenient living there would be. For a while, at least, until I started craving vegetable gardening.
In other news, now you can watch a short movie of my little Birdie friend, BenBen, hopping around the bathroom.
