June 29th, 2006 Oh my apples!

groin toast With many thanks to the very cute boy pictured, I am updating this here blog from my shiney new macbook which is connected to the internet WIRELESSLY! WHOA! Everyone in Sydney should probably go and stalk him at the Apple Center on Broadway, and tell him Helen sent you and make him rue the day he said I could stalk him
THANKYOU NICK YOU ARE AWESOME.
He doesn’t always have toast attached to his groin, mind, though soon after this photo was taken, I found this under my bed.

June 13th, 2006 Wifes knows best.

gimme the fucken wine I’d like to take the time to thank Fiona for stopping me from drinking red wine excessively at Nicholas Carvan’s birthday party on Saturday.
I love this photo and if I were to give out Christmas cards with a picture of myself on them, this would be a contender.
Please do note Nicholas’ wall of bookshelves in the background. I was worried that I would dream of books after the party, but I was fine and slept well, despite the fact that I woke up in the middle of a snore. Which I attest to being on the booze, as I don’t usually snore.

June 13th, 2006 Introducing….

Isobel Pepper and DoraIsobel Pepper! Named as such, after Belle and Sebastian(sooo cliche), and Pepper, the tiny felt baby that Nick had with my toy, Toast. I don’t think that I mentioned it here, but Winsome, my sweet custom Vsmash, has gone to live in Melbourne, with the very dear Ginny. Isobel Pepper is filling the void left by Winsome’s departure very well. As is the fact that Winsome is ridiculously happy in Victoria!
Isobel and Dora are making friends awfully well. Isobel understand’s Dora’s chronic problems(many), and is the sweetest, most loving girl ever. Dora doesn’t mind when Isobel steals her carefully formed forkfulls when they share dinner, either.

June 3rd, 2006 Ahhh! Technology!/ Vanessa’s Parramatta Road Tour.

This morning I went on a tour of Parramatta Road, which Vanessa was holding in conjunction with her tour agent, Lucas.
It was a really awesome tour, forgive the cheese, but it was like stepping into one of Vanessa’s stories, which was AMAZING.
What is also amazing, is that Lucas was taking photos of the entire thing, which you can see on his flickr, so when I got home and looked at my flickr, there was the drawing of a rabbit that I was doing while Vanessa was touring us.
Other highlights include: the big red flag, Vanessa’s rainbow dress, Lucas’ suit, the confused guy in the tile shop.
Do you know what is also amazing? The reason that I find everything amazing is because I drank dessert wine with Racheal(not very much, mind, and before lunch) and subsequently love the world.
Now, to hope I am coordinated enough to spend the afternoon watching crappy movies and finishing the scarf I am knitting, who’s deadline is on Monday.
ps. Lucas keeps porn in his pocket.
